Up the Price of Alligator Pelts.

Suggestion Outline: It's as easy as the title. The Price of a "Large Perfect Alligator Skin," is one dollar. This is nothing compared to the Elk, or Bucks that vastly populate other regions that sell for 3-4 Dollars a pelt. Alligator hunting in real life is and was a profitable job esp. in the early 1900s. So profitable that we nearly wiped them out in the Bayou.

What script/development support will it require?: Change the money you get in the code.

Why will it benefit South Tahoma Roleplay?: It adds another avenue of hunting RP esp. for those who RP Bayou crawlers and Gator hunters.

The reason the price on them is so comparatively low when they're a valuable commodity IRL stems largely from a (mostly-true) meme, where high society Saint Denis characters couldn't resist the allure of taking a hunting cart out and making hundreds of dollars an hour by circling the bayou, killing alligators that do not fight back and always spawn back in the exact same position. It was a purely mechanical change because they really incentivised huntmaxxing from money-hungry players.

I mean this to say they were nerfed into their current place with good reason.

No.  And the main reason is that alligators are incredibly easy to kill, and bountiful at that.  There's no real hunting involved given they just stay there standing until they're shot at, and they already drop big game meat which is profitable.  We used to have the prices higher and it did nothing except it saw a mass of hunters driving around max-speed in their lime green hunting wagons through the swamp shooting alligators and loading pelts.

Below's a screenshot from awhile back - these are all alligators I killed one after another in the area.  Imagine how much money that would be if you raised the prices?  It's too much.

I'd rather shift this to making more legendary animals appear (as such, the Legendary Gator) more than like, moby dick sightings. Maybe make it so every week, it's feasible to see one.

I think the issue as seen above is very prominent. These guys spawn everywhere. Would be a great grinding loop though.

A secondary option is to add an "Alligator Fang" item, like how bears have "Bear Claws" w/ the same or similar drop chances, to provide an extra item for alligators that isn't a pelt.

To counter this - You can do the exact same with Deer and Elk. It isn't hard to find packs of them and absolutely eradicate them with any weapon that holds more than one shot. You can easily make 70-100 Dollars hunting Elk and Deer. Alligators need some buff be it more leather, meat or a new item such as fangs.  It'd make sense IC to have a bit of worth-while gains of Alligators due to what the Bayou IRL uses them for.

I thought gators needed a boost too until I realized they drop Big Game Meat which sells for a huge amount of money. So it's already really lucrative to hunt them.

They also are stationary which means they're easier to kill than deer and elks which run away.

What I DO think needs a buff are wolves and cougars. Cougars especially should be a goldmine considering how lethal they are if you mess up, but they sell for less than a deer.

I think maybe wolves and cougars should get a chance to drop fangs that are kinda like bearclaws.

Pelt quality should matter but as alligators spawn in abundance, they are fine as they are. Kicking up cougar or bear pelts just because "they are dangerous" makes no sense whatsoever, especially the aforementioned as its fur is rather coarse and ugly. Same with deer pelts. What I'd rather see is the pelt of three star silver foxes being the one that pays the most. They aren't in abundance (you are kind of lucky if you even bump into a three star one) and it's super easy to actually ruin the pelt quality.

"In 1900, a single silver fox pelt could fetch prices ranging from $300 to $500 or even higher in some cases. This was a significant amount of money at the time. To put this into perspective, $500 in 1900 is equivalent to about $16,000 to $18,000 today when adjusted for inflation.

For particularly rare and flawless pelts, prices could skyrocket, with some pelts being sold for up to $1,000 at auctions, depending on their quality and demand."
