The Armadillo Saloon The Armadillo Saloon has recently been inherited by the wife of its former long-term proprietor after his death in rather questionable circumstances. Quick to take back her maiden name, Sofia Rosas, now runs the saloon under her ownership. There is little time for mourning as the new owner is swift in securing new connections and contracts for her valued business. A watchful eye and a knack for bookkeeping, the new owner seems to be having a good start. For now.

For the days of old... when we dug up the gold, ...in the days of '49. Dallas Morgan comes from a long lineage of miners since the 1870's; his family were always in the industry, and have worked all over the Southern States of the USA in search of the next great gold rush following the California Rush. His family began to make decent placement and influence on the industry in the year of 1871 as they began to make claims to Annesburg. His father, Colt Morgan, organised the Annesburg Excavator's; a Miner's Union which existed from the year 1876 to 1890; a 14 year venture. The Union saw worker's conditions in Annesburg develop in a positive way; conditions were made safer, and paychecks went up for the first time in South Tahoma's history. Upon his Father's retirement and departure from the state, Dallas took over the Union for a tenure between 1890 and 1895. After a 5 year tenure, Dallas' mind became corrupt. He became more attached to the bottom line, and less attached to the care and wellbeing of his friends and fellow miners. In the year 1897; he began to brown-nose his way in to the Jamesson Mining Co. - and began to develop friendships with people in suits and ties, not in miner's overalls. In the year 1898; he orchestrated a hostile takeover and took down the owner's and operators of Jamesson Mining Co. - and rebranded the Annesburg Mine to the Morgan & Sons Mining Co.; in an homage to his father's name, but not his work ethic or treatment of employees. Dallas now runs the Annesburg Mine with an iron fist; his attitude soured, and the Benji's being his motivator in life - the work of his Union Leader Father had been buried into fancy suits, black ties and the bottom line - but this were the way of the world, and to hell with the miner's and their paychecks. Employment is done in an odd way. This is a business; meaning that our 'faction members' are simply 'employees' of the business. This means your character is more than welcome to be in other factions at the same time as ours - as long as you're obviously not working for two mines. Your character will sign a 'contract' with the Morgan & Sons Mining Co. - and is welcome to pursue other ventures in the meantime; this is essentially your 'day job'. Of course, if you wish to have a full-time mining character; we more than welcome that too. If you want to springboard into this industry as a primary source of roleplay, have a read of this guide to get you started, and we'll be more than happy to have you.
