It's not, my point was to show that there's no better alternative to the PK system, especially if most of the community is afraid of losing their characters.
And to show that making everyone immortal and being able to survive any kind of injuries won't really promote roleplay - it will make it one-sided and it will remove all the risks related to going somewhere alone as a civilian/lawman.
Because the new life amnesia is the main point of the PK system. CK is the only viable alternative to this system as dead men tell no tales.
I am completely aware of this, I even stated my opinion on this matter under Faledak's suggestion. But the fact that I don't think they're too harsh doesn't change how those players feel about them and how the RP is perceived on their end. And I'm sure they won't appreciate making the shootout aftermath even more one-sided.
Again, don't get me wrong - I'm not 100% "pro CK" neither. I just believe that there's no better alternative to the PK system, and that was the main point of even bringing that up.
Robbery victims and witnesses who have seen them commit a crime that might end up in capital punishment are rather two different cases. It's not like anyone robs people without a mask on.
And it's also so easy to just say that "John Doe was killed" instead of "I survived a headshot". And I do care - why would someone powergame my character shooting their arm, if I was clearly aiming for their head? Again, I only brought that bit because someone had mentioned how realistic removing PKs would be.
