We can stack my "input" to STRP against yours if you'd really like, but I don't think that's particularly productive or in the spirit of the thread, sweetheart. Try giving the remaining passionate staff something more than a generalised "do better" or "fix this" with absolutely no specification or substance if you actually care to contribute. x

He can't use his main account because I banned it. Although, still obsessing over STRP months later is clinically insane behaviour but gave me a good laugh all the same. 😂

God, I fucking love roleplay.

Firstly, not really relevant to this specific topic but: My resignation post on Discord isn't corporate-sheated nonsense; it's very sincere. The driving factors for my resignation were the state of RedM's development scene; wherein script authors are more concerned with $$$ than advancing the "RedM project" as a collective (which I sincerely think is the leading factor in why RedM won't "boom"), and the culture I've alluded to ad nauseum; of people mixing their IC and OOC feelings to the point where grudges form and last years. The incessant whining is just a cherry on top of that. 😂 Literally wrong - but you wouldn't know that because Staff Reports are currently private, so respectfully I'm not even sure why you feel confident saying this. The administrator you're alluding to was staff reported; and suspended for a month within 4 days. Upon their return, the behaviour didn't repeat. So, that's that. I use these terms in the pursuit of historical and academic accuracy, rather than emotionally fuelled. If you're going to attempt to convince me that the "critisism" in #general was constructive, fruitful and productive more than bitching, whining and moaning - we're never going to agree unfortunately - but I think the removal of the channel speaks for itself. "Former" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here luckily. 😊 - Staff are sometimes obliged to withhold their feelings towards certain players, attitudes and visions in the pursuit of server harmony; and that's a sheathe I no longer subscribe to. I'm fucking thrilled #general is gone, and seemingly took the doom squad with it. I don't mean to be "demeaning", really I don't, but I tire of seeing the age old issue of "staff are shit" followed swiftly with "...but I don't do anything about it". Am I lightly sarcastic, though? Guilty as charged. Though, perhaps with my departure, the playerbase will boom. I'd absolutely love that. Perhaps I am the ethereal "corrupt, arrogant, insulting, serial rulebreaker" you're alluding to. This is wild to me personally. Firstly, I'm speaking directly to the crowd of folks who would spend more of their STRP time lurking in #general looking for the next e-showdown than playing the game, rather than those who actually offer constructive and productive discourse to the project. I'd thank you to not mischaracterise me by implying I'm saying to anyone who has any problem with STRP at all should just swallow their problems and log on or fuck off. If you're suggesting that the egregious issues you have with staff are SO BAD that you literally can't even log on and roleplay without being an immediate victim to corruption, deathmatching, nepotism, admin abuse, or whatever other nonsense you're implying; then yeah, the server is a lost cause. Shut it down. Turn off the lights. I just happen to believe that while there may be some individual cases of staff misconduct or foul play (that I'm sure even after this discussion will continue to remain unreported, and will instead continue to be bitched about in private clique settings - let's be real), the misconduct you're alluding to isn't so extreme that one can't even play the damn game. You type so passionately about "the server's issues [need to] be addressed", yet your dissetation only really speaks to "the staff suck, reform it"; and in the same breath: "the argument about lack of report against staff is of course correct. Yes, players are hesitant to report the staff members and all staff reports are always answered." So go ahead and stop being hesitant, file staff reports against this outrageous roster of malicious staff you're clued in on so they can be terminated, and we can all live happily ever after! That'll probably be my last reply, starting to feel like my name has gone green or red again...

After a long tenure with STRP's staff, and a current attitude perfectly comfortable pointing out the flaws in STRP's Staff once the "shakeup" period ends, I still find myself crusading against a shit load of what you've said. There's an awful lot of words here that essentially attributes a titanic amount of responsibility for the "state of STRP" to the Administration, and more specifically some ethereal roster of Administrators that are reputably "corrupt", "serial rule breakers" and "haughty trolls" (along with "arrogant", "insulting" and "demeaning"); and frankly I'm surprised that individuals with such a rich portfolio of heinous attributes haven't received an overwhelming chain of staff reports and follow-up termination for such obviously identifiable behaviour! Of course, this is a lightly-sarcastically coded way of saying that there's probably no official reports or indications of these folks' behaviour, beyond hidden scathing in private clique Discords, chastising said staff members to your friends in confidence and whining in echochambers about x staff member on loop. I've seen a plethora of screenshots of folks doing this; because eventually all that shit gets back to the person being lambasted anyway (lol). The hard truth is that none of that shit actually makes change. It just increases the distance of this chasm of distance between "the staff" and "the players", "us" and "them" if you will. On my resignation date, there were no pending staff reports; perhaps in the 14 days I've been gone, these individuals you're alluding to have either miraculously had a complete attitude adjustment, or have received said staff reports that I can no longer see. I only assume you're the author of many such reports with this intense list of undesirable attributes that you've laid out. 🤔 If you seriously think there are staff that are: Corrupt Serial rulebreakers Haughty trolls Arrogant, insulting, demeaning Hoarding whitelists (that others want) "Giving themselves the necessary tools for furthering their own experience" [only] "Enhancing their own fun" [only] "Helping only their firends" That's MORE that enough for immediate dismissal! Light up your torch, sharpen your pitchfork and waltz over to Staff Reports and get them out of here. Let's get this reform started! I left my own rogue's gallery of staff that I believe to be unfit for Administration upon my own departure, but most of those were based on inactivity reasons. If I had my way, they'd be gone as of this writing, but alas, I wasn't all-powerful, contrary to popular belief. As a now retired staff member who doesn't really care to maintain any political/social correctness about the existing staff roster anymore (beside @Blueice, love you babe); I can point you to a lot of staff I've had personal issues with, and I can point you to a few staff I really do not get on with at all, but I can't point to a single one that possesses a multitude of the traits you've outlined above. During my tenure with STRP staff, I've never seen a staff report go unanswered - so if reports against these folks are going unanswered, definitely reach out to Bill. I've actioned a fair few staff in my time - suspended many, terminated few. A common theme I was party to during this same tenure was this idea that when I suggested to "make a report!" - it was only ever met with three distinct replies: I can't be arsed to. I have no proof. I'm scared of the reprecussions if my name gets leaked (i.e. the admin(s) will treat me differently). May the Lord strike my forum reputation down with 's but I only ever sympathise with #3, personally. It's true that in such a small community; if one were to get on the "bad side" of an administrator with power, there's every plausible chance your experience becomes immediately more difficult, but I can't say during my personal tenure I ever saw this issue breathe. If it did, nobody told me about it. If you can't be arsed to make a formal action pursuant to your complaints, that's your prerogative. If you have no proof, what do you expect? Seriously? Those legendary (bold word, I'd use irritating) folks who used to spend their mornings, afternoons and evenings in #general incessantly whining about the same issues, complaining about the same recycled garbage and sparking up the same fights with the same people based on the same feuds they've had since RD:RP, MD:RP, RDR:W or GTA servers of old (take your pick) now have two options since the removal of their soapbox channel: Log on or get lost. These legends who made #general their whole STRP personality have (correct me if I'm wrong) largely opted for option two and disappeared entirely, likely to retire their infernal bitching to more intimate Discords, which I find absolutely hilarious personally. Job well done to @MiaMika for weeding out those unpleasent folks with one swift swing of the blade. In the current community culture where the landing "chit chat" channel had to be removed because of the contents and these "legendary" people who lived in said channel making it overwhelming unwelcoming, toxic and straight up unpleasant to any newcomers, you're absolutely right about one thing Mirgy; I sure as shit would be surprised.

An expected result when it's the same core community of (anywhere between) ~40 and ~100 players just playing under a different brand really.
