+1 and necroposting on this thread because I was gonna make my own suggestion, but didn't want to double post. People heavily invested in cinematic roleplaying and screenshot storytelling need a photomode or free-cam to take cinematic screens and get nice angles. The third person camera and built-in cinematic camera is just too janky and unpredictable to get quality screenshots most of the time, compared to what it could be if we had a free-cam. Just imagine the possibilities of being able to capture movie-like screens of characters. It would open up so much storytelling potential for character and faction threads.6 points

Date: 9/25/1900 Subject: I broke the goddamn wheel... again. As the light from the morning peeked through the window, I continued to put off doing the tasks for the day. That is, until I saw my wife's encouraging grin, and her words comforted me like a fresh spring wind. I got to my feet, took a deep breath, and rounded up Seth and Peter to round up our ranch hands. Our first order of business was to drive the newborn bulls to the auction yard before they grew up and became competition for Big Jim. A few sale cows joined us on a day under ideal skies. Jonathan, shaping into quite the proper cowboy, rode alongside our newest hire Piet to help us round up these cattle. I positioned them carefully: my wife and I led from the front, Seth and Katherine took the right flank, Piet took the left while Peter and Jonathan herded from the back, to ensure an incident-free journey. When we finally arrived at the auction site, I asked some of them to attend to it while my wife and I disappeared into town to shop for what we needed and make inquiries about the whereabouts of Kingsworth. We easily found her at her shop, and together we hitched up the wagon to begin our ride towards Saint-Denis for a delivery of supplies. The ride has been filled with laughter despite Lemoyne's sweltering heat and the city's pungent air. We delivered in the late afternoon, collected our money, and retired to the hotel for the night, where we could sleep well, having dreamed of home comforts before doing the return journey.4 points

Discord ID/User: george_gaming144p Suggestion Outline: A way to use the ingame photomode from singleplayer, or an addition of a similar system with the purpose of taking screenshots. The cinematic mode is great, but doesn't work inside most interiors and it's often difficult to pose it exactly how you'd like. What script/development support will it require?: https://forum.cfx.re/t/paid-sirevlc-photo-mode-redemrp-vorp/5110122 - I saw this script which may work with some minor changes. Why will it benefit South Tahoma Roleplay?: Will give players the possibility of making goated screenshots.2 points

I think this can be remedied by simply limiting how far the freecam extends and the distance it can move around the player. I also think that with noting its use on other RP servers, the potential for abuse on paper seems high, but when it comes to actual practicality in the heat of a moment, it's not all too helpful generally.2 points

I +1 this, whether it has potential of happening or not. Given I don’t know the first thing about scripts, I won’t comment on that part but I will say, from experience and like someone already said; the amount of abuse that would come with a free cam is honestly up to speculation, if that. In another server, which I’m sure is the same one everyone else is thinking of, free cam is used with little room for abuse given how it’s usually used during an active role play scene. During a DM or a moment of potential conflict are the only scenarios where abuse would even be an issue, and I doubt those interested in conflict are going to constantly or even occasionally risk death or any other bugs that might arise just to get a quick glimpse behind a wall mid-shootout. As a conflict enjoyer myself, I can easily say the adrenaline in the moment leaves little room for thinking up OOC exploits while trying to survive the occasion and rack up kills. We can already see names and stuff through walls, so there’s not much difference. There’s little to no benefit to abusing free cam in casual/passive interactions. I think with limitations - if possible - the in-game related issues could be circumvented. This is of course surface level, I can’t speak on the development/script aspects.1 point

Discord ID/User: Joobliw. Suggestion Outline: A command to customize, increase or decrease the text box size, not the font size. What script/development support will it require?: Scripting, maybe something similar to font size. Why will it benefit South Tahoma Roleplay?: Decreasing the size allows a more cinematic feel, allows for cleaners clips to be made. Increasing the size would help players following along with dialogue and emotes. Example 1 of the default text box size. Example 2 after the command for the custom size has been entered.1 point

Could we get a command that makes your screen black, so it's easier to capture chat for screenshots?1 point

Date: 9/24/1900 Subject: Riddles! One quiet morning, my beautiful wife, Seth, Daniel and Kath, sat around a crackling fire and shared stories, songs, coffee, and breakfast, the laughter mixing with the curling smoke into the atmosphere. As the sun rose further up in the sky, it became time to get into gear and do ranch work. I met with Peter and reviewed the tasks for the day after breakfast. Just as we got into it, my dear wife and Kath joined in and added a few more to the list, mostly supplies we would need to pick up from town. We wrote all of it down and saved it for our trip to Valentine later. With that out of the way, me and Peter took our cattle out to the fields where they grazed. The heart-to-hearts were frequent, a cigarette shared, and hilarity found in the very little things that made life here so special. Jonathan, the soft-spoken city kid, quickly became a member of our small group. We made an effort to teach him the ropes, but I couldn't help but feel that he wasn't quite worth it. He had trouble using the lasso and kept missing the runners. Peter and I exchanged amused glances before stepping in to show him the proper technique. After some time—and lots of patience—we finally got the cattle rounded up and moving in the right direction toward the ranch. Day's work done, we all prepared for our trip to Valentine. The camaraderie of the morning still lingered as we set out on our next adventure. After attending to our errands in town, we mounted our stall and sat down, waiting for customers. The day was somewhat dull, with very little traffic, and so we decided to kill some time playing riddles. It quickly turned into a comedy show: Peter was desperate to be the first to crack each one, and he tripped over his answers. That only made him frustrated, and that frustrated state of his further sent us into peals of laughter. Meanwhile, my wife was in her element, bouncing up and down in her seat, giggling while racing to answer. Every time a riddle would come up, she couldn't help the excitement welling up inside her as she yelled out the answers even before the question was fully asked. Her joy was contagious, and soon we were all having fun. We sat and pondered at the setting sun, how well a day it was having fun with family and friends, laughing and riddling after a hard day's work. Finally, when it was about time to clean up, Set and Kath headed home and the rest of us packed up and rode back to the ranch, the day's warmth clinging to our hearts.1 point

As long as it comes with some way to thicken the drop shadow or alter background of the chat box too, I'm in. Sometimes during different lighting/backgrounds it can be harder-than-necessary to see some of the text!1 point

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐈 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 is an attempt to provide a suitably realistic, immersive, and healthy portrayal of proto-LCN in South Tahoma's setting. We put an emphasis on every character going out to establish their own connections and illegal ventures, then share it with the family for a collective growth. We boast and encourage an emphasize storytelling above all, character development, and contribution to an authentic and dynamic story, as depicted in this or derivative threads. The name of the game becomes "being an earner". For any inquiries on how to join, contact @Grumsman, @subway244, or @kyle_.1 point

> This, plus it makes the character completely stationary (Basically useless in s2k). Could also be remedied by a chat message popping up that says "{USER} - has entered freecam nearby! Report any abuse to the administrators." within a certain range. Also, I believe the chat is centralized to the player itself, not the camera - thus there would be little risk of meta besides just being able to see characters. People can abuse any given mechanic if their intentions are to act maliciously, but at that point it's just 'abuse' of a script which is bannable tmk. I can certainly see @Dark_Knight's viewpoint on this, though I still believe the benefits would outweigh the negatives.1 point

Could a solution to avoid abuse be to open up a second server? Like a ”creative server” where theres no RP but characters are synced etc and ”photo mode” script enabled? no idea if possible or viable just brainstorming0 points
